Scottish Child Payment Increase
Scottish Government has confirmed that the rate of the Scottish Child Payment shall increase from 14th November 2022. Currently, parents are eligible to claim £20 per child under the age of six. This is increasing to £25 per child, and the eligibility is expanding to include children under the age of 16.
In order to claim the Scottish Child Payment, you or your partner are required to be in receipt of one of the following qualifying benefits:
- Universal Credit
- Child Tax Credit
- Income Support
- Pension Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
- Income-related Employment Support Allowance (ESA)
