Scottish Child Payments Double to £20
As announced by Scottish Government in November 2021, the Scottish Child Payment is doubling in April to £20 per week, per child under 6 years of age. The payment is made every 4 weeks, and it does not affect any other benefit you may be in receipt of.
To be eligible to claim the Scottish Child Payments, you or your partner must be in receipt of one of the following benefits:
- Universal Credit
- Child Tax Credit
- Income Support
- Pension Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Income-based JSA (Job Seekers Allowance)
- Income-related ESA (Employment & Support Allowance)
You can still claim if you have applied for one of these benefits but are not yet in receipt.
